Why do women apply cologne/perfume behind their ears/earlobes??

Just wondering?, oh and also doesn't applying cologne behind ears spoil/damage your hair? Why do women apply cologne/perfume behind their ears/earlobes??
Perfume is regularly applied in this area because it is classed a 'pulse point' - the same as the inside of your wrists and between your cleavage. These are 'warm' area's of the body and applying scents in these places enhances the smell of the fragrance you are wearing.

Of course, when applying cologne behind the ears, care should be taken to avoid any getting on your hair but if that does happen it really isn't the end of the world!

Hope this helps! Why do women apply cologne/perfume behind their ears/earlobes??
I don't see why it would damage your hair anymore than hairspray or gel. All those have alcohol in them too as a drying agent.
so others can smell it
I always believe that perfume is applied to the wrists and behind the ears so that it can soak into the blood stream and activate throughout your body. I don't know where I heard that, I think my mother when I was younger hahaah
It may damage your hair because perfume has alcohol in it which dries skin, hair, etc. It started out where you would put it in places that are ';hot';. So ears, elbows, whatever. The heat activates the scents in the perfume.
Women do this because when you go to hug someone their head goes right by yours and they can smell the freshness of you! :) it will only damage your hair if you spray directly on it, just give your neck a nice little spritz before you leave the house and your good!!!
