How to make a simple perfume??
I have an advertising assignment, and my group wants to do a perfume. It's nothing too scientific, we juz wanna do the sample out of vanilla essence and tea.. help??How to make a simple perfume??
chemical composition for a simple perfume:
ethyl benzoate, isopropanol
with vanilla essence:
take vanilla essence or sandal paste, dissolve in any alcohol.
isopropanol is harmless.
also try,
take jasmine flowers add ethanol and warm.
take some sandal wood, grind to powder, add sufficient water. filter.How to make a simple perfume??

I am not fond of Paris Hilton either but her 1st perfume-I think it is just called Paris Hilton-tall bluish/purple bottle-smells good. My abosolute favorites are the Dream Angels by Victoria's secret-Heavenly is the best, and the best perfume ever, so far, is Chance by Chanel. Smells beautiful and actually lasts for awhile.

I really like Light Blue by Dolce %26amp; Gabbana and also Delicious Feelings. For everyday use Victoria's Secret has many wonderful fragrances. I especially like Very Sexy. I suggest you layer scents starting with a shower gel, then lotion and last your perfume all the same fragrance. It makes your fragrance last longer.
Dolce and Gabbana ';Light Blue'; is the best perfume ever. it has a nice clean smell to it.
I love the perfumes Clinique makes. They are Happy Heart, Happy and Happy to Be. I think there is even a newer one but I cannot recall the name of it.
Sunflowers by Elizabeth Arden is my all-time favorite for summer.
I also like Liz Claibourne.

Perfume is regularly applied in this area because it is classed a 'pulse point' - the same as the inside of your wrists and between your cleavage. These are 'warm' area's of the body and applying scents in these places enhances the smell of the fragrance you are wearing.
Of course, when applying cologne behind the ears, care should be taken to avoid any getting on your hair but if that does happen it really isn't the end of the world!

i bought Chanel Chance for my wedding; it's light, fruity and sweet. be sure not to use whatever you choose before the wedding - that way whenever you smell it, you'll be reminded of your wedding day. :o)Did anyone buy a new perfume for their wedding? If so, what seemed appropriate and what brand?
I would go with a body spray, rather then a perfume.
Body sprays are light and can be re-applied without ';over doing it';
I get headaches from perfume, so I'm probably not going to wear anything. If I do, it's be a little body spray.

Just a note: Perfume leaves spots, be sure to put your fragrance on before you put your dress on. Dont spray yourself with your dress on.
Perfume doesn't like me either :-) It makes me sneeze like mad, and I have a horrible, squeaky, really high-pitched ';choo!'; No way am I going to risk an inadvertent mouse imitiation on my wedding day.
What I like are organic, herbal bodywashes and lotions. If you have a Whole Foods or other health-food store nearby, look at the Shikai brand body-washes and lotions. All their scents are really nice and light. My favorite is the Sandalwood, but the lavender, cucumber-melon, and vanilla are nice too. Also, bath and body works carries some body cremes that have nice light scents.
Just go to a department store's cosmetic section and start sniffing! Don't try too many at once, though. I think your nose gives up after about five. But keep trying three or four scents a visit until you find one that you like. Buy a small amount of it and wear it for a few days. You're right to be careful about one that's too heavy or sweet. You most definitely don't want a cloying scent. Personally, I like Givenchy's Ysatis--it's light and sophisticated. But find one that you like.
Please take some well honed advice here. Do not use a new perfume for your wedding day. In fact from personal experience, dont use any that day.
Here is why:
Perfumes are based on chemsitry.
On a good day, your body will accept your perfume. However on days when you are stressed out - like a wedding day -perfume has a nasty habit of reacting to the chemistry and the acids in your body and it can turn on you in a minute.
Getting a new perfume might sound like a romantic thing to do, but if your chemistry is wrong that day it can end up smelling like flyspray.
Take some advice here and dont wear any.. If you want to smell pretty get a nice light body lotion from bath and body works. But the advice here is dont wear any.
Go to Sephora and let the staff help you pick something. When I perfume shop, if I like a fragrance, I try it on, then see how I feel about it throughout the day, because, as you know, the same perfume can smell different on different people because of body chemistry. So if that certain scent suits you, then go back and buy it!
I personally like Stella by Stella McCartney. It's light and smells like roses.
We can all give you suggestions, but the best thing to do is visit a department store's fragrance counter and explain what you are looking for (clean scent, etc). Body sprays are light and can be re-applied without ';over doing it';
I get headaches from perfume, so I'm probably not going to wear anything. If I do, it's be a little body spray.

Just a note: Perfume leaves spots, be sure to put your fragrance on before you put your dress on. Dont spray yourself with your dress on.
Perfume doesn't like me either :-) It makes me sneeze like mad, and I have a horrible, squeaky, really high-pitched ';choo!'; No way am I going to risk an inadvertent mouse imitiation on my wedding day.
What I like are organic, herbal bodywashes and lotions. If you have a Whole Foods or other health-food store nearby, look at the Shikai brand body-washes and lotions. All their scents are really nice and light. My favorite is the Sandalwood, but the lavender, cucumber-melon, and vanilla are nice too. Also, bath and body works carries some body cremes that have nice light scents.
Just go to a department store's cosmetic section and start sniffing! Don't try too many at once, though. I think your nose gives up after about five. But keep trying three or four scents a visit until you find one that you like. Buy a small amount of it and wear it for a few days. You're right to be careful about one that's too heavy or sweet. You most definitely don't want a cloying scent. Personally, I like Givenchy's Ysatis--it's light and sophisticated. But find one that you like.
Please take some well honed advice here. Do not use a new perfume for your wedding day. In fact from personal experience, dont use any that day.
Here is why:
Perfumes are based on chemsitry.
On a good day, your body will accept your perfume. However on days when you are stressed out - like a wedding day -perfume has a nasty habit of reacting to the chemistry and the acids in your body and it can turn on you in a minute.
Getting a new perfume might sound like a romantic thing to do, but if your chemistry is wrong that day it can end up smelling like flyspray.
Take some advice here and dont wear any.. If you want to smell pretty get a nice light body lotion from bath and body works. But the advice here is dont wear any.
Go to Sephora and let the staff help you pick something. When I perfume shop, if I like a fragrance, I try it on, then see how I feel about it throughout the day, because, as you know, the same perfume can smell different on different people because of body chemistry. So if that certain scent suits you, then go back and buy it!
I personally like Stella by Stella McCartney. It's light and smells like roses.

Whenever i wear perfume it seems to fade by the time i get to school. Should i spray it on my clothes or my skin? And if should spray it on my skin, where? I've seen people spray it on their wrists but i'm a germaphobe and wash my hands frequently so that probably wouldnt work 4 me. actually i hear it's not good to wear any type of perfume to an interview because you don't know if they person youre interviewing will be overwhelmed by the smell or not. different people have different opinions about smells so you don't want to wear anything that could ruin your chances of getting the job. also the smell might distract them and that wouldn't be good either. hope this helps!

also, you might wanna try Hugo Boss Soul or Armani Code. Soul's scent is fresh but not too over-the-top. Armani is a bit more expensive and it does smell similar to Soul. If you'd wanna splurge on your gift for dad, this might be what you're looking for.
For your mom, you could give her Sunflower by Elizabeth Arden. Elizabeth Arden's scents are subtle and more on the organic bit. Green Tea then is also a good choice for her. Clinique Happy Woman smells the way it costs (needless to say expensive), but it will be worth it because it smells elegant yet playful at the same time.

Every time I get out of the shower (hair wet), I always spray once on the back of my neck. Make sure not 2 spray your hair, though. Also, spray on the front of your neck once or twice....however u like. It always lasts all day long....not too strong, but people can smell it from a good distance.

They are all botanical and not tested on animals - important things for me. I have two favorite perfumes from them 1) Ming Shu, and 2) Yria. Ming Shu is a light, delicate floral scent, and Yria is spicy and sexy. yum. For men, they sell several scents. My favorite was Antarctica, but they discontinued it. My newest favorite for men is Euro.
I love Anais Anais, smells clean, fresh and light. I get complimented on it all the time. I do not like the really heavy scents, especially when they feel they have to marinate in it. Rule of thumb, if you can smell it on yourself . . . you are wearing too much!!

I order all of my health/beauty aids from an online site called Yves Rocher. They have awesome perfumes and colognes as well as makeup. They are all botanical and not tested on animals - important things for me. I have two favorite perfumes from them 1) Ming Shu, and 2) Yria. Ming Shu is a light, delicate floral scent, and Yria is spicy and sexy. yum. For men, they sell several scents. My favorite was Antarctica, but they discontinued it. My newest favorite for men is Euro.
I love Anais Anais, smells clean, fresh and light. I get complimented on it all the time. I do not like the really heavy scents, especially when they feel they have to marinate in it. Rule of thumb, if you can smell it on yourself . . . you are wearing too much!!

I find that for a present Dolce %26amp; Gabbana's ';Light Blue'; works very well. It a very soft flowery fragrance that compliments a lot of women and can be worn during the day or at night.

I find that for a present Dolce %26amp; Gabbana's ';Light Blue'; works very well. It a very soft flowery fragrance that compliments a lot of women and can be worn during the day or at night.
right now I am loving the Vera Wang Flower Princess perfume. It smells so sweet and romantic. I mean it is a bit expensive, but i think it's worth it:)

Why are we subjected to have to smell people's perfume?
I hate having to smell other's perfume... some stink and people seem to bathe in it. It's like an invasion of our breathing space... We have to share the air... why are some people so self centered and figure that the whole world should be smellling them a mile away?Why are we subjected to have to smell people's perfume?

Even the best perfumes use highly toxic ingredients. Perfume makers can not keep up with demands, so they resort to artificial ingredients. I have seen in some states, they have passed laws that perfumes and colognes are banned in public places just like smoking. I wish Illinois would get with the program. My aunt had a disease where everytime she smelled perfume, cologne, hairspray or even deodorant, she could not breath. She had to be rushed to the hospital on several occasions for this problem. For some people, wearing heavy colognes or perfumes is like getting a bag tied around their head. Some people can no longer leave their homes because of it.
The whole point of perfume is that others would smell it. Since you can't smell yourself, they may not realize they have on too much.
I kinda see your point, at least the point of some people smelling like they poured a whole bottle on. But I think the right scent, and the right amount, can be quite pleasant. I get compliments all the time about how I smell. The key to wearing perfume is finding the right one for your own unique body chemistry. Many women wear things that just simply don't smell good on them. For instance, I have a friend that wears Shalimar, smells heavenly on her, but on me, it STINKS.

As long as you don't swallow it or spray it in the sample, you don't have to worry about it.
Aromatic items (perfume, cologne, hair spray, deodorant, etc) don't impact the test itself because none of the chemicals would make it into the sample itself. There could be the slightest possibility if you sprayed something on while you were in the middle of the test, but not before it. If you're thinking about it absorbing through your skin, there's no worry of that either... it would take too long to filter through your system after being absorbed through your skin, not to mention the fact that if that were a concern, they would tell you not to wear any perfume for a few days before the test ;-)

I have this perfume i love, but i haven't used it for a while and it smells strongly of alcohol. What can i do to get rid of the alcohol stench, yet still have the scent of the perfume? I buy one of my favorites, Burberry Tender Touch, for $24 and it retails for about $80. It comes without a lid, but it's authentic. That is a full size bottle and it's huge. If you bought the smaller size it would be under $20.
I love having a lot of fine perfumes, but there are also things you can buy at the mall for $20 that are just as great.
Aveda has several scents you can make for $20.
Bath and body works with the real essential oils are a great choice. Look for anything with real essential oils and it will smell the best, last the longest and have mood elevating effects. Essential oils vary in price, but many are very inexpensive and used in lots of the Bath %26amp; Bodyworks products.

What is the difference between Live by J Lo and Live Luxe by J Lo? Which perfume is better?
i dont really know about live, but i do have a live luxe. believe it or not, well, if you don't believe it maybe i'll post a pic. the live luxe is slightly fresher but sweeter, i didn't regret buying that perfume AT ALL. people give me a lotta compliments when using that. HOWEVER, the scent is heavier than live. so buy anything that suits you best, another negative point is that live luxe is more expensive. to be honest, i would prefer you to buy live luxe according to my personal experience. but it's all up to u, choose the one that suits you and your personality best.

It depends on what kind of oil it is. If it is home made oil and you used mineral oil, and the leaves were completely dry it will not go rancid.
