It has the word ';sterling'; stamped on it. To the left of ';sterling'; is a ';W'; with a crown just above it. It was a gift and it may have come from England, but I can't be sure.Who manufactured my silver perfume vessel?
I would suspect the W stands for Wilkinson, an long established manufacturer of high quality silver and sterling products in England. The crown above their trade mark indicates that they are appointed by the Queen as a 'royal silversmith', a very prestigious appointment!
